Description
Back by popular demand … Join us for 3 extended afternoons and master perspective in your work!
Day One: Introduction and practice. (Drawing only)
We will be addressing the basic concepts of perspective drawing using one point and two-point perspective. There will be multiple step-by-step guided demonstrations for how perspective works in various types of work: still life, landscape, etc. and time to address a wide range of weak areas like ellipses and odd shapes in perspective.
Day Two: Reinforcement of concepts and continued skill development. (Mostly drawing)
We will briefly cover 3 point perspective, however, most of our time will be spent on reinforcing one and two-point perspective. After concepts have been covered, the instructor will take volunteer samples of student work and correct them live on screen so everyone can benefit from the corrections. Students will have multiple small projects to complete to help solidify perspective understanding.
Day Three: Review and Independent Practice. (Student choice of medium)
The teacher will begin the day with a perspective troubleshooting discussion for those who still need help with the concepts. Those who are ahead will use their own reference or still life to draw a more completed image using their medium of choice. This day, the instructor will have time to troubleshoot and correct perspective issues as they arise in the artist’s work on an individual basis.
