Description

Join us for this fun workshop focused on organic lines and creative use of toned paper, ink and pencil. We will learn and refine organic line tangles, explore “floating” strings and step outside traditional Zentangle parameters. Some experience with basic Zentangle methods and techniques will helpful for this class.

Kathy is a Certified Zentangle instructor. She has been creating Zentangle art and teaching others the joy of the technique since 2011.

This workshop is a being presented by a member artist instructor and is donating her time to the Guild. All proceeds from this workshop will go directly to the operations of the Art Guild of Louisiana.

Supply List

Paper:

  • Bristol Vellum or heavy, smooth cardstock/watercolor paper for practice
  • Strathmore 400 Series Toned Mixed Media – tan or grey – for project. 9×12 or
    larger (available at Blick Art Supply online or Mo’s Art Supply in Baton Rouge)

Pens:

  • 01 Sakura Micron Pen – Black
  • PN or 05 Sakura Micron Pen – Black
  • White ink pen – Sakura Gelly Roll Pen (or similar)
  • Gold metallic pen – Sakura Gelly Roll Pen (or similar)

Pencil
Sketchbook or notebook
White Chalk Pencil (ex. General’s Charcoal White)
Smudge Stick or Tortillion – one for each color – total of 2
Colored Pencils: Any brand you prefer or have already
Black
White (Prismacolor is preferred for this one)
