As COVID19 continues to disrupt our lives, the AGL Board continues to monitor the daily news and announcements from our public officials so that we can make informed decisions regarding our programs. While we want to continue to provide our members with opportunities for creative expression during these stressful times, we want to do so in a healthy and safe way for us all.
All updates and changes for individual AGL events will be posted on the Calendar as quickly as possible. Please take advantage of this resource which we provide for your convenience. Please keep in mind the following information is subject to change as the COVID19 guidance from our public officials evolves.
Workshops: Workshops scheduled for April and May have been cancelled. We are hoping to resume with the regularly scheduled Workshops as listed, beginning in June. If/when we are able to reschedule cancelled workshops, previously registered participants will be contacted directly. Refunds to people who register via PayPal/credit card will occur in few days; refunds by check will take 7-10 days.
Exhibits: The Spring Judged Show is currently installed at the Independence Park Theatre Gallery, however, that building is closed to the public at least until April 30, 2020. Not only has the April 5 Awards Reception for this exhibit been cancelled but, we have not had access to select award winners. How we proceed will depend on how COVID19 guidelines evolve. We will be contacting exhibiting artists individually as we determine our options and make decisions.
Studio in the Park – The Studio is closed to the public and all “open studios” and “life drawing” sessions are cancelled through at least April 30. This includes Picture Day scheduled on April 19.
In the meantime stay safe, practice healthy hygiene, and keep painting!!
